"You Are What You Eat...But What's Eating You!?"

Dietary Intervention or dietary treatment for Autism is a growing and popular method of intervention by parents with their kids having Autism.  It is still very controversial, however, within the "Medical Community".

Dietary and Bio-Medical interventions actually cover a wide area of topics that seek to correct Autistic behaviors and/or improve the Autistic condition of an individual with Autism by correcting  or modifying the diet and/or other biological processes in the body which have fallen out of balance.  I will talk about my son's personal experiences with the dietary and Bio-Medical treatments which we have seen bring substantial improvement in my son.

The problems my son experienced that led us to Dietary modification were:

1.  Extremely unusual bowel movements, explosive,  alternating between black Tar and yellow Mustard.

2.  Restless sleeping at night.  Often he would swing his arms and legs up and down pounding the mattress for extended periods to avoid sleep.  Tossing and turning after falling asleep.

3.  Drugged, hypnotic effect that we closely matched to his intake of Milk products.

4.  Early attachment to four specific foods- yogurt, McDonald's French Fries, peanut butter and 32 - 48 oz. of Milk per day.

5.  Results from his food allergy testing.
