The temptation not to take data on your work is strong for parents.
We must resist this temptation. The Autism treatment program needs your data.
- Your trial data is just as important as any one elses...when is he missing, where is he missing, is he missing only with you or is he successful with you and no one else? We can`t tell what is going on if we don`t have data.
- Data keeps you accountable Data helps you with urges to do more trials than you should, to tell tall tales of success or just plain old forgetfulness.
- If you want your team to believe you do therapy, you have to write it They don`t take you seriously otherwise (one of the hard truths)
- You`ll take your work and the time you spend more seriously
- As you study your own data, you will know your child and WHY he/she does the things he does
Unfortunately, we allow the business of the day to prevent us from writing. It does take effort. If you are a to be a true parent/therapist, the data is critical.
Let's get going!,
